I was found wandering the streets, and when no one came to claim me, I was given a second chance at finding my forever family. I’ve spent time in a loving foster home and enjoy visiting a staff member’s home, where I get along well with her cat and medium-sized dog.I’m a sweet boy who can be a little shy at first, but gentle attention and tasty treats help me feel safe. Once I trust you, my affectionate side really shines! I’ll happily show you my belly and become your cuddly companion. I may need a little extra time to warm up to men, but with patience, I know we can become friends. I get along well with other dogs, especially those around my size. I’m more of a peaceful coexistence kind of guy than a playful one, and I can live with cats, too! I’ve also lived with a child, although sudden noises and screams from unfamiliar young children can make me nervous. I’d do best with a calm family who understands my need for a little space when I feel overwhelmed.I have low-to-moderate energy and enjoy outdoor adventures followed by relaxing at home. I may pull a little on walks and sometimes bark at dogs we pass, but I’m generally good at following my handler.I’m currently about 50% pee-pad and 50% outdoor housetrained. I have no escape tendencies or signs of separation anxiety, and I don’t guard food from people, although I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating.All I’m looking for is a patient, loving home where I can feel safe, enjoy life's simple pleasures, and share my growing affection with my favourite people.
