About

Meet Titan! Breed: Jindo/Shepherds mixAge: 4 yearsGender: Male Weight: 72.5 lb Height: 26 inches Highlight(s): Freindly, social and affectionateHi, I’m Titan! My story began during South Korea’s devastating wildfires in 2025. When volunteers found me, I was chained up and suffering from burns on my face and body. Thankfully, they rushed me to a veterinarian for treatment and made sure I was safe. My previous owner eventually relinquished me, and I’ve been waiting at a shelter for someone to give me the loving home I deserve.Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m a happy, social, and affectionate boy who loves people—even strangers! I warm up quickly and adore scratches, hugs, and cuddles. Once I feel comfortable with you, I’ll happily roll over to show you my belly. I have moderate energy and enjoy outdoor adventures, followed by relaxing with my favourite humans. I’m crate-trained, rarely bark, and have no escape tendencies or signs of separation anxiety. I’m still learning my housetraining, though, so I’ll need some patience as I settle into home life.I’m a strong boy who gets very excited on walks and tends to pull on the leash. I’m currently working with a trainer to improve my leash manners, so my future family should be ready to continue my training. I’ve been gentle with children I’ve met, but because of my strength and pulling, children should never hold my leash.I get along well with other dogs and am happy to say hello and share space, although I’m not much of a playmate. If another dog bothers me, I usually prefer to walk away. I don’t guard food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I haven’t met cats yet.I’ve already survived so much, and now I’m ready for a new chapter filled with kindness, adventures, and a cozy place to call home. Could you be the person who shows me what it feels like to be truly loved? get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yesEngergy Level: Moderate, Enjoys outdoor activities and likes to rest/calm at home after walks. Fears: Non observed . Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Leash skills: Pulls the leash a bit, needs strong handler. Still working on leash training. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Not yet. Please assist me in learning where to go in my new home.Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
