Good day. My name is Zephyr and here is a little info about me: Breed: Hound MixAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 33 kg/ 74 lbsHeight: approximately 55 cmCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: Gentle, Calm, Respectful, Friendly, Affectionate Being a gentle soul, I am patiently waiting for my second chance. Given my calm disposition, I will fit well in most any home. I was a gentle stray dog living in my neighborhood. I never harmed anyone and I was known for my calm, friendly nature. One day I walked into a friendly lady's garden and she started to feed me and care for me. She took me in and allowed me to roam free during the day. I always returned back to my caregiver at the end of each day. One day, the municipal animal shelter secretly came and took me away to the shelter. I was starting to get nervous as days passed by and nobody was coming to save me. It turns out, they were telling my foster family that I was not in the shelter when indeed I was. After three days, I saw my foster parent amongst thousands of other dogs and she came to take me back home. Since then, I have been living safely with my foster mom. I am no longer allowed to roam the streets as it is no longer considered safe. I am patiently waiting for my forever family, hopefully where my life is not at risk on a daily basis. I can sometimes be frightened by men carrying sticks or similar objects as it reminds me of a traumatic time. Given time to feel safe, this should subside. You'll find me an affectionate girl though and tend to be quite friendly. I get along well with other dogs. I am even fine with cats, never shown a lick of aggression with them. Additionally, kids are nice too, I enjoy being with people. I am fully house trained and do not have accidents indoors. I am also very respectful in the home and have never damaged furniture or household items. I am an eager learner and have shown great progress so far in my training. I was lucky enough to survive the unimaginable, now I am just waiting for the happy ending I truly deserve. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
