My original owner used me hands to discipline me and because I’m scared to get hit I’ve become head shy. So sometimes when I don’t know someone and they put their hand in my face, I’ve nipped out at them. I promise I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. I was just scared. I’m slowly getting over it, but it’ll take time and patience. My previous people abandoned me when they left the country. I was bounced around a lot for the first 1.5 years of my life. I never knew where I was gonna end up and whether I would find a stable home. So I’m a bit wary of change. I like to meet people slowly.I love my people and I’m a good boy. I like to observe cats but I have no desire to chase or harm them. They just fascinate me and I think we could be friends. I love a good play with other big dogs at the park. I’m good with smaller dogs too but I’m still learning about my big size so it’s best to keep an eye on me as I try to be gentle.I’d really like to find my forever home. I need a special person who wants a loyal and trusted companion to snuggle up with every day. My favourite thing is to sit next to my human and give gentle kisses and receive pats. When you look into my deep brown eyes you’ll see the love I’ll give you forever.I am crate trained and leash trained. I’m a fairly relaxed kind of guy. I love a good hike or run but I’m definitely not overactive. I’m pretty happy to relax on my dog bed. I also like a ball. I’m extra good at soccer and can self pacify for a long time.I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: YesI am a gentle boy with other dogs and kitties, allowing them to pick on me with patience.
