I am a resilient, sweet-natured soul who is finally learning what it means to be a beloved family member.After spending my early life in a puppy mill as a "breeder mom," I am ready to leave the past behind and retire to being pampered, spoiled, and loved. I am as kind as i am beautiful *****Personality Profile: The "Velcro" .. Butter is incredibly loyal and wants nothing more than to be close to her humans. Whether you are cooking in the kitchen or relaxing on the couch, she will be close by. In true Shih Tzu manner, Butter sticks close to her chosen human, but the others will do when the favourite isn't around. Butter is extremely gentle natured and "wouldn't hurt a fly". Cautiously Optimistic: Because of her background, she can be a little shy in new environments. However, with a little patience and a gentle hand, her wonderfully silly and affectionate personality QUICKLY shines through. Little humans are a big PLUS! If you want to pick her up, dress her up and take her everywhere - she's your girl!Simple Pleasures: Butter’s favorite things in life are soft, warm beds, delicious snacks (like KD from her favorite little humans), and curling up for a long nap with her resting in your lap. Butter enjoys walks and long sniffs outside. Ideal Forever Home to help Butter thrive includes: A Patient Family: Adopters who understand that puppy mill survivors need time to decompress and learn how to just be a dog. We will be best friends, I PROMISE, just give me some time to get to know you - I am gaining more and more confidence every day! Potty training is in the works and having the intelligence and eagerness to please as a Poodle, it wont take me long. Canine Companions (Optional but preferred): She often takes great comfort in having a calm, well-adjusted doggie sibling to show her the ropes and model good behavior. Butter is currently being fostered with two male Boxers who know to give her space but also know that she does enjoy their company. Butter would do well with another animal companion of ANY species - even feline friends *Located in Angus
