About

Meet Linus! Breed: Jindo mixAge: 10 Months Gender: Male Weight: 25 lb Height 22 inches (Still growing) Highlight(s): Friendly, happyHi, I’m Linus! My story began in December 2025, when I was abandoned in a garbage container as a tiny newborn who hadn’t even opened his eyes. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person rescued me and bottle-fed me, giving me the chance to grow into the happy boy I am today. I can be a little shy at first, but with gentle attention, patience, and tasty treats, I’ll gradually warm up. Once I trust you, I’ll show you my belly and happily let you pick me up! I tend to feel more comfortable around women, and when I’m happy, I get the zoomies with the biggest, brightest smile on my face. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those around my size, and I love playing with my furry friends. I’ve also lived with cats, so I have some experience sharing my home with feline companions.I have moderate energy and enjoy outdoor adventures followed by relaxing at home. I’m housetrained, have no resource-guarding issues or escape tendencies, and haven’t shown separation anxiety. I may pull a little on walks, bark at unfamiliar people, and whine when crated. I might also mark my territory when settling into a new home.I’ve overcome a difficult beginning, and now I’m ready for my happily-ever-after! I’m looking for a loving family who will give me time to settle in, help me feel safe, and enjoy all the happy zoomies and smiles I have to share. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
