About
Hi, I’m Weasley! Breed: Jindo mixAge: 1 year 4 monthsGender: Male Weight: 27 lb Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, social, playfulI was born to a mom who spent her life tied up as a guard dog at a factory. I was one of five puppies, but sadly, only three of us survived after two of my siblings passed away from distemper. Since then, I’ve been patiently waiting at a boarding facility for about a year, making lots of doggy friends along the way.Everyone says I’m incredibly cute, and I definitely love being around people! I’m friendly with strangers, especially if they have treats. Once I get comfortable, I’ll happily roll over and show you my belly for rubs.I’m playful and social with other dogs and love wrestling and running around with my friends. I can be a little intimidated by very large dogs, but I’m still eager to make new buddies.I have a moderate-to-high energy level and would love an active family that can help me burn off my energy and continue learning about the world. I’m crate-trained, about 90% housetrained, and I haven’t shown any aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety, or escape tendencies.I do get severe carsickness right now, so car rides aren’t my favorite thing yet. I also pull a little on leash and am still getting used to busy urban environments, but I’m a smart, food-motivated boy who’s ready to learn. All I need now is a loving family to give me the chance I’ve been waiting for. Could that be you? I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: UnknownEnergy level: Medium high. Suitable for active family who can help me burn off my energy. Fears: Non observed. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
