Hello! My name is Jershey. Here is some information about me:Breed: Terrier-Schnauzer mixAge: 2 years old Gender: MaleWeight: 22 lbsHeight: tbdHi Vancouver! I’m Your New Best Friend! Hi there! I’m a sweet 2-year-old boy, believed to be a Terrier-Schnauzer mix, weighing in at a very huggable 22 lbs. I may be a little guy, but I have a whole lot of love to give!My story began on the streets of California, where life wasn’t always easy. Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescuer came along and gave me a second chance at finding the happy life every dog deserves. Since then, I’ve been enjoying foster care, where I’m learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place when you have kind humans around. My foster family says I’m sociable with both other dogs and people, so I’m hoping to find a home where I can make new friends, share adventures, and be part of the family. Whether it’s going for walks, exploring my new neighbourhood, or simply curling up nearby while you relax, I’m ready to start making beautiful memories with my very own people. Now I’m dreaming of a forever home in Vancouver, BC. Could it be with you?If you’re looking for a loving little companion to bring joy, friendship, and plenty of tail wags into your life, I might just be your guy!The exciting news? I can arrive on November 7, 2026, for the right adopter! All I need is someone willing to open their heart and home to a little dog with a big future ahead of him. Could you be the one to make my happily-ever-after come true?Love and hopeful tail wags,Your future best friend.I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknownEnergy Level: tbdFears/Prey Drive: tbdTraining: tbd.Leash Skills: tbd.Housetrained: tbd. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this.[MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
