BANYAN
Sobre
BANYAN was found on a local property living in an TNR colony and came into the Rescue with 15 other “Tree” kittens and he’s now searching for his forever home. He’s had his *first vaccine, Advantage II flea and tick treatment, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by the vet. Even though this little fella was found living outside he’s super affectionate and has a lovely, outgoing disposition. He also has a crazy “Action Hero” side to him where he likes to run and jump around. Plus he’ll grab at the feather toys for as long as you’re willing to wave them at him or he destroys them. Lol! He also has that softy side to him as he loves to be held and as soon as he’s picked up he turns into a loud purring machine. He also loves to snuggle in your lap and have a snooze. There's also that adventurous, explorer side to him where he’s checking out every nook and cranny in the room. He loves to chase after the kitty toys he finds in his foster home and he has been caught playing football with a little rubber ball. Yes, this little fella is the whole package if you’re looking for an affectionate but very high energy kitty. BANYAN has used the litter box since day one in foster care as he’s such a smart little guy. He loves to eat both kibble and wet food, eat Temptations treats and drink nice, cold water. He’s in a foster home with a puppy so he would suit a home with a dog as long as it’s cat savvy and as always, we recommend a slow, monitored introduction be made between them while the dog is kept leashed. He’s fostered with (who we believe) are his 5 siblings and they all chase each other around, tumble with each other and chase the kitty toys together. So he should do well with another outgoing cat as long as they’re willing to put up with kitten antics. He also can be an only cat as long as he’s not left alone for long periods at a time. Children should be aged 6 plus and be gentle, loving and caring towards animals. If BANYAN sounds like he’ll be a good match for you and your family then please submit an adoption application to meet him. *He’ll have his booster, Rabies shot and neuter at 4 months of age and it will be booked by the time of his adoption so his adopter must be committed to bringing him to Barrie for the vaccines and surgery. However, his neuter can be performed at the adopters own Vet’s Clinic and this option will be discussed during the phone interview.
